YMMV / Sechs Auf Einen Streich

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: The mountain dwarf in Das singende, klingende Bäumchen. He is rather reserved for a Big Bad – granted, he takes the prince and princess captive, but only after first the prince and then the king made deals with him to get his singing, jingling tree, which they needed to please the princess. Even when they are his prisoners, he doesn’t keep them under lock and key, puts only light spells over them (the prince gets a roaring voice and the princess becomes Hollywood Homely-ugly), and gets defeated pretty easily even for a fairytale villain. Could he be a Trickster Mentor rather than a Big Bad, trying to teach the princess a lesson?
    • Fridge Logic: The dwarf says himself the tree only sings and jingles when its owner is able to feel love. It sings and jingles in his presence. Does it mean he has some Hidden Depths we never learn about?
  • Angst? What Angst?:
    • In Hänsel und Gretel, Gretel doesn’t seem upset or at least uneasy when she meets Marie for the first time, despite having killed Marie’s identical Evil Twin mere minutes earlier and never having heard about Marie before.
    • Snow White is never shown grieving for her dead father, even though she learns of his death in an especially traumatic way, with the Wicked Queen sadistically breaking the news as Snow White is suffocating from the Queen’s too-tight bodice.
    • In Das Märchen von den zwölf Monaten, the months and Queen Klara are amazingly chill about the fact that their longtime friend February plotted to have them all killed. Sure, they are happy that he makes his Heel–Face Turn and saves Klara in the climactic battle, but even a while after that he is never taken to task and is last seen joking with March about his attempt to usurp their power.
  • Hollywood Homely: Whenever someone's hit with a curse of ugliness.
    • In Prinz Himmelblau und Fee Lupine, Lupine is cursed to become uglier than a toad. After which she is shown with a slightly dirtier face and tousled hair, and in darker and plainer clothing. When her curse gets switched with Himmelblau’s, the same happens to him.
    • The princess in Das singende, klingende Bäumchen gets a slightly larger nose and her hair becomes tousled and dirty-green.
  • Magnificent Bitch: In "Die kleine Meerjungfrau", Mydra is the mysterious and reclusive sea witch. Since she is fond of the mermaid princesses due to an implied romantic past with the sea king, she indulges Undine's wish when the latter begs her to give her legs instead of a mermaid's tail, but as payment, she takes away her voice. Mydra also tells her that, should she fail to win over her beloved human prince and thus gain a soul, she will dissolve into sea foam. Later, after the prince marries another, Mydra sends Undine a magical knife to stab him with: if Undine does it, she will survive and get her tail back. However, when Undine can't bring herself to do it, Mydra reveals it was all a Secret Test of Character: by refusing to kill her beloved, Undine proves she already has a human soul. Giving Undine's voice back, Mydra tells her that she is now free to pursue her dream of exploring the world and that she will be her guide, at least for the start. Enigmatic, claiming to be nigh-omniscient, and rarely giving direct answers to any questions, Mydra orchestrates most of the events in the episode.
  • Squick: In "Nussknäcker und Mäusekönig", King Mauserinks is incredibly creepy towards Marie, grabbing her face, calling her pretty, and getting so close to her their noses touch. He outright says "Maybe there can be something between us, when I kill [the Nutcracker]". It's arguably even worse since he is human-looking.
