• Awesome Music: Several of the soundtracks for the park's shows, Shamu Rocks!, Cirque De La Mer, Blue Horizons and One Ocean in particular.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Clyde and Seamore the sea lions, who are often more popular with people than Shamu herself.
• First Installment Wins: The first incarnation of Journey to Atlantis in Orlando is widely agreed to be the best version of the ride, due to its more elaborate theming and attempts to tell a story (at least early on) compared to its successors at San Diego and San Antonio, which are noticeably more minimalistic and stripped down by comparison (especially San Antonio's version, which barely has any theming), due to them putting more emphasis on the coaster aspect instead.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: Regardless of one's feelings and thoughts surrounding cetaceans in captivity, it's impossible to deny that SeaWorld's reputation has been forever scarred by the death of Dawn Brancheau and the ensuing Blackfish documentary that followed it. Since the start of the 2010's, it's been difficult to mention anything SeaWorld-related without the elephant-in-the-room of the orca controversy coming up.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Likely to address criticisms regarding its intensity, in 2017. SeaWorld Orlando would alter Journey into Atlantis and remove much of the ride's story elements (as well as many of the original effects and animatronics) in favor of a Lighter and Softer tone. These changes were received poorly by fans of the original ride.
• Win Back the Crowd: Ever since SeaWorld announced that it will no longer be breeding orcas in captivity and that the current generation of them will be the last, quite a few people that were against the parks have started to warm up to them again.
