- Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game: One of most common comments from the people who've played the game is that it has a solid story and an incredible atmosphere; but it unfortunately suffers from a lot of Guide Dang It! moments. The same people have even said that playing it with a walkthrough doesn't detract at all from enjoying the story and atmosphere.
- Memetic Mutation: "Better call Jerry". Explanation
- Narm: Some British players have criticized the weak accents the cast tries to push.
- Narm Charm: As terrifying as the ending is, the immediate after shot of Michael silently driving away from the manor, makes it look like his reaction was him just saying "NOPE!", which is what many players would do.
- Paranoia Fuel: Despite the fact that the graphics almost never change within the 3 days, the ominous soundtrack can still make you think something's going to happen sooner or later, especially at night.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some players of The Last Visit find Robin's alternate face not as gruesome as it looked in the main game. Although his voice is just as disturbing.
- The Woobie: Robin, considering his backstory. Born with hideous malformations, he was locked away in the manor and eventually killed his mother. Still locked away, he gets regular shipments of raw meat into his hideyhole and trying to tunnel himself a way to freedom. All because he has looks weird, to no fault of his own - his mother kept taking a drug that caused the malformations.
