- Alternate Character Interpretation: Was Vanna Pira revealing the spell to restore Shaggy's humanity just another one of her airheaded mistakes or was she making sure Dracula kept his end of the bargain because Shaggy had won the race fair and square?
- Awesome Music:
- The "Doin' the Werewolf Rock" song.
- The end credits music.
- Demographically Inappropriate Humour: Where did Drac get his scream beans? His torture chamber! Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy are too busy feeling the scream beans effects to mull over this, but Googie is appropriately appalled about the implications, and Dracula, though unsettlingly cheery about it all, switches subjects soon after nonetheless.
- Ensemble Dark Horse:
- Googie, for being Shaggy's girlfriend and being kind and patient with him.
- Vanna Pira, due to being a hilariously ditzy and fairly attractive Harmless Villain. She has a decent amount of fan art.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The brief gag of "bat burgers" being made from undercooked bats has not aged well following news about the (supposed) source of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- "Yay." "LOUDER!"
- Dracula spends the movie pronouncing Shaggy's name as "Sha-Gee". Years later, Star Wars: Clone Wars introduced a character modeled after Shaggy named Sha'a Gi, whose name is pronounced the same as how Drac did it.
- Shipping: Due to this movie depicting Googie as Shaggy's actual say it on screen girlfriend, there are Shaggy and Googie shippers. Some even have done artwork with Googie in werewolf form.
