YMMV / Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too!

Go To

  • Funny Moments:
    • Velma calling out Lex Luthor himself on his rather obvious villain speech to the mayor.
Lex Luthor: All you need to do is say the word and I'll mow down this miserable mausoleum of moral mediocrity in minutes.
      Scooby: Whoa.
Velma: Were you trying for that villainous alliteration, or did that just happen on its own?
    • When Krypto puts the Hall of Justice on lockdown, he and the Mystery Inc. gang find Lex and his dog were also trapped... because Lex actually managed to get himself lost, something that Lex himself is rather annoyed about.
    • Apparently, Lex had dollar bills with his own face printed during his time as president. He claims that they're considered legal tender, yet the vending machines in the Hall of Justice and even Solomon Grundy refuse to accept them.
Luthor: (frustrated) Why won't anyone take my money?!
  • It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: After the praise that the Art Shift in Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! received with more stylized, scratchy background art and fluid animation, many fans were disappointed once this movie decided to go back to the post-What's New? era animation style, less because it was bad and more because of how good the animation was in the last movie.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: The early press that the movie was supposedly cancellednote  despite being finished and that an insider leaked the entire movie to the audience before any announcement around it was made by Warner Bros, lead to more interest in the movie that otherwise wouldn't have been there.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: While likely done to avoid overshadowing Mystery Inc, The Justice League only appear at the end of the film. Superman and Wonder Woman the only ones to get any real dialogue. And notably despite a number of references, Batman is completely absent.
