• Fridge Logic: In Chapter 281, Baledagh's highly aggressive offensive style that has defensive lapses and Rain's defensive style are reminiscent of Anakin and Obi-Wan's styles from the climactic duel of Revenge of the Sith. For bonus points, Rain even takes on Obi-Wan's standard opening pose, with his shield blades in place for the fingers pointing at his opponents.
• Ugly Cute: Rain views his wildcat pets as this, noting that their head is to small and their butt is to big, but that he loves them anyway.
