• Contested Sequel: Compared to the widely-beloved London Calling, Sandinista! sees much more mixed opinions, owed in large part to its two-and-a-half-hour runtime and Genre Roulette approach. Some see it as a worthy successor to the band's 1979 double-album that leans further into the strengths of its predecessor, while others see it as excessively bloated and directionless, preferring the single-LP promo sampler Sandinista Now! instead.
