- Creator's Pet: Bill Willingham's creation Kid Karnevil gets treated as a serious threat.
- Magnificent Bastard: Lex Luthor demonstrates this with his plan to leave. Analyzing the technology and temporal effect of the Boom tube as it teleports him. Rallies the villains under him with sheer charisma, and sets about setting the machine to take them home with the other Mad Scientists. He gets Chemo to power it and takes a bunch of energy villains to power it as well, sacrificing them for the good of everyone.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Chaos vs. Order theme could have been displayed more. Joker's team can mostly come off as, "we don't want to work so we're leaving."
