• Contested Sequel: While the game does have fans, its status as a good sequel compared to it's predecessor is lacking. This mostly comes from the fact that they added mechanics from the Monster Hunter franchise, such as having to hunt down the mages you need to kill. While the idea is good on paper, what this really results in is you accepting a mission, gaining a fog trail that sends you to the mage, and then having to kill the mage in (most likely) a cramped environment that wasn't meant for it. In general, the game ditches the linear progression of its predecessor and focuses on hunting the mages, which, while able to be fun in it's own right, feels far too different to be considered a good sequel.
