- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- One of the stated problems with Gohan's character is that, as a human in a Saiyan's body, the instincts and drives of said body will begin to warp his personality. Later on, Dragonball Super would go on to do the same thing with Zamasu in Goku Black's body.
- Let's see... a Saiyan with human qualities getting ship teased with a person who is basically a normal human but who uses conventional weapons to great effect, even against far stronger foes? Are we talking about Gohan and Miss Militia, or are we talking about Future Trunks and Future Mai?
- The Scrappy: Invoked by the fans, but not realized. When a normal civilian interrupts the fight between Lung and Gohan to film it with his phone, readers immediately assumed it was Greg Veder. For the record, Greg had not shown up in the story once aside from his "Void Cowboy" online persona (where he acted somewhat antagonistically and didn't watch the videos presented especially well, but no worse than any other forum-goer in real life). It took the author pointing out that no, this was not Greg- several times- to get people to stop calling him that.
