- Alternative Character Interpretation: Usagi's noted to have undergone some character regression during this season, acting far more immature and bratty. It's possible her tantrum over being denied lemon pie in this episode, and her overall behavior moving forward in this season, might've been the result of lingering trauma from being exposed to whatever Pharaoh 90 actually was in the 125th episode when she entered the Tau System to save Sailor Saturn.
- Salvaged Story: A rather understated example — fans hated how Chibi-Usa would rudely taunt Usagi about missing out on meals, generally showing no remorse for it. Here, she actually does feel guilty about it and decides to make another pie with Ikuko to make up for what happened.
- Wangst: While it wasn't nice of Chibi-Usa to tease Usagi about missing out on pie, Usagi's reaction doesn't exactly paint her in a much better light with her behaving like a selfish toddler.
