• Cult Classic: The film grossed a mere $300,000 in its theatrical run, but achieved enough notoriety to receive a sequel 18 years later.
• Funny Moments: Several, but probably most memorable is Sean's acid trip, which later turns out horribly wrong.
• Retroactive Recognition: If you haven't seen this film since 1998, you might be surprised to recognize Jason Segel in his first role of any prominence as Mike.
• Tear Jerker:
  • When Stevo finds Bob lying dead in their apartment and breaks down crying.
  • When Steve-o goes on a rant accusing Bob of being a poser for falling in love with Trish, and ends up killing Bob's optimism about their lives. Bob's distraught reaction sells it.
