- Hilarious in Hindsight: SD Sengokuden Bushin Kourin Hen was made to cash-in on the success of BB Senshi Sangokuden, even though the former was based on the Sengoku period complete with a character based on Oda Nobunaga, while the latter was based on the Chinese epic Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Then years later, SD Gundam would reuse the Romance of the Three Kingdoms theme with SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden, which got a sequel SD Gundam World Heroes that went with more multiple varied themes...including the Sengoku period again, complete with another character based on Oda Nobunaga, Nobunaga Gundam Epyon!
- Older Than They Think: SD Sengokuden Bushin Kourin Hen isn't the first time SD Gundam made a Sengoku period-themed work, it's actually a part of something much bigger. The SD Sengokuden series has been not only a major part of the SD Gundam sub-franchise since its inception in the late-1980s, it's also one of many key points responsible for it in the first place, and Bushin Kourin Hen based a lot of its characters after characters from past Sengokuden works along with the historical figures, mostly SD Gundam Force Emaki Musharetsuden. Hell, this isn't even the first time the SD Gundam BB Senshi model series made characters based on Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin, as two decades prior it created both Shingen Gundam and Kenshin Gundam for SD Sengokuden Ten to Chi To, which Bushin Kourin Hen is a Spiritual Successor to.
