• Ensemble Dark Horse: Bushimaru from Maruden III has become a standout character likely due to his hammy nature, character arc, and relationship evolution with Bakimaru.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • The moment after Bakimaru's Big Damn Heroes moment when he saves Bushimaru. As mentioned under Chekhov's Gag on the main page, Bushimaru is about to start another one of his quarrels with Baki, until he purposely misses with his punch. In their short exchange, Bakimaru addresses him as "comrade"^note written as "Bushimaru". It's a sign that these two, who were bitter enemies from the start, have acknowledged each other as Fire-Forged Friends.
  • Another one happens during the "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight against Perfect Beast King Kerberos. Despite it seeming like a Curb-Stomp Battle to Burikimaru and Bushimaru, they push on in order to save Bakimaru and Bushimaru makes the reason why clear: He is not an enemy, but their comrade^note based on the way the dialogue is written in the scene, Bushimaru is also saying that Bakimaru is not a Hybrid, but one of them (a Musha). Note that this is the same person that Bakimaru would bicker with at almost every moment in the series.
