• That One Level: The beginning of Stage 3 is Nightmare Fuel for anyone who has played the lava stage in Gradius III's arcade version, simply because of the flying boulders that explode into smaller, indestructible rocks when hit. The remainder of the stage is hardly less forgiving, featuring rock slabs that jettison back and forth to impede your progress.
