  • Genius Bonus: Most viewers will notice that "Arahabaki" is a Significant Anagram of "Akihabara". Some may also know that it's also the name of an old Japanese deity, as seen in the Persona series. What isn't so well-known is that in archaic Ainu, "arahabaki" is a term for the female genitalia - the most common target of Japanese censorship in the real world.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The series is laser-focused on its war against the True Army and Arahabaki that any backstory or worldbuilding is either glossed over completely or barely brought up:
    • The battery girls, minus Yuki, being orphaned by the army are only given token mentions as part of their backstories. The fates of the girls' parents and families are never confirmed, and they never seek to try and find out if they're still alive. The closest thing to addressing it is that Misa assumes her father died at some point.
    • The circumstances regarding how the True Army even invaded Earth from their dimension are only brought up in passing, with the exact details left in the dark.
    • Everything regarding the Earth of the True Army, or the army itself is an enigma at best, We never find out how they got into power, how far it reaches, or if their Earth is a full-on Crapsack World like their Japan is or not.
    • Earth's reaction regarding the True Army's initial invasion of Japan (and vice-versa) in 2019 is never mentioned outright, with the Army itself focused solely on destroying Akihabara and its otaku culture in 2029.
