• Nightmare Fuel: The Commander-class Progenitor. With Medusa's head (with black pits for eyes) up top, and Black Bolt's head on its torso. And then, there's a hint that it's still got some of both of them in there. And this is how the Progenitors reproduce, which raises a lot of questions about the others ones seen through the series.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: Ewing's questionable decision to pair Medusa and Gorgon. It comes completely out of left-field, winds up thoroughly sinking her prior relationship with Black Bolt through a flimsy retcon, and winds up just being a case of forced drama when Gorgon winds up sacrificing himself a handful of issues later to save the rest of the Inhumans from the Progenitors.Many people note that the pairing winds up derailing Medusa's character development, and could've been easily excised from the story without severely impacting the plot.
