YMMV / Ronin (1983)

• Fridge Brilliance: Miller practically tells us the The Reveal in the first few pages. We see the Ronin and Ozaki fighting demons and then it cuts to the future where we see Billy watching TV. On the first read, we naturally just assume that it is a time cut. We don't see what Billy is watching and don't stop to think that all of this is a part of the same scene and that the moments with Ronin in ancient Japan were just the program he was watching.
• Nightmare Fuel: Casey and her crew have been attacked and stripped by a bunch of cannibals. She rallies her team and calls on one of them who's hiding in the darkness to give her his hand. He just giggles and says "...Hand?" Later, she does it again:
  Security guy: [still unseen] ...There you go again with that hand business...
• Spiritual Licensee: Samurai Jack has more than a passing resemblance to this comic.
