  • Game-Breaker:
    • Alessandra's Engulfing Chains ability completely shuts down anything not completely immune to spells for a whopping 15 seconds unless her channel is interrupted. This even works on enemy heroes.
    • Phoenixes before the 3.0 version. Between the magic immunity, high magic damage, an area of effect attack, and they could come to life after ten seconds if they were killed, they were specially good with dealing with other Blood Elves, given that the only units that could attack them were Archers and Dragonhawk Riders (which couldn't disable them like any other air unit). There's a reason for why they lost their magic immunity in 3.0.
  • That One Level: The first part of Chapter 5, a Hold the Line mission in which you're attacked constantly from three different sides, and you only have two heroes to boot. Fortunately, after that is over, you're given two other heroes, as well as the very powerful Arcane Golem units.
