YMMV / Rick and Morty S4 E8: "The Vat of Acid"

• Accidental Aesop:
  • Remember to always save after making progress and keep backup saves. You never know when they can get corrupted or worse.
  • Don't leave your bags open and unattended.
• Adorkable: Morty's girlfriend seems to be this; she's a very cute Meganekko who also clearly has a deep love of space (especially Mars), as seen by her phone case and room decorations.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: This is not the last we see of the Vat of Acid Trick. Rick and Morty resort to this trick in "A Rick in King Mortur's Mort", and this time, Morty is far less negative of the plan, with both declaring their love for each other before they jump into the vat of sun.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Rick poking fun of Ant-Man and the Wasp's usage of time travel here becomes even funnier after Jeff Loveness, one of the writers of this episode, went on to write the story for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
• Nausea Fuel: Morty removing one of his snow gloves to reveal his rotting, frostbitten hand so he can dial 911 on his phone. And a piece of his skin sticks to the frozen screen. Ouch.
