• Award Snub: While the album did go on to win the Grammy for best Dance/Electronic album in 2023, as well as awards for “Cuff It” and “Plastic off the Sofa” (making Beyoncé the most awarded artist in Grammy history), many fans were outraged that Renaissance did not take home the coveted Album of the Year award, which was given to Harry Styles for Harry’s House.
• Friendly Fandoms: Beyoncé fans and Madonna fans alike took a near-immediate shine to Ariana Grande's song "yes, and?" since Ariana's track is a self-empowerment song heavily inspired by Madonna's "Vogue", which resonated heavily with fans of the former two artists since "Break My Soul (Queens Remix)" was itself a self-empowerment song sampling "Vogue" itself.
