• Funny Moments: A number. The main character not knowing how to use the internet, resulting in a porn explosion, is an example.
• Moral Event Horizon: Played with at the start, when the protagonist steals from the shop in Rustboro. Later comes into play when he murders Aaron with slow-acting poison and denies him a Mercy Kill. He gets a little more Ax-Crazy after that.
  • The protagonist just blew up a lab with innocent people in it to try to make himself feel better after Xander's death. To make it worse, it blew up in his face when he realized just killed Mia as well.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The shedinja. Destroying its original body isn't enough to stop it, as it can possess other corpses. It has to be banned to the afterlife to stop being a problem.
  • Gardevoir. They skin their victims alive and then use the skin for their dress/cape. Two capture the main character and force him to watch as the female rapes a Hariyama and skins him alive, letting him know that he's next. They even find the Soldier's breakdown funny.
• Tear Jerker:
  • It's heartbreaking whenever the Soldier loses one of his pokemon. While losing Sophie was hard enough, special mention has to go to Xander, who had been with him from the very start. There's also the fact that Xander died in an incredibly painful manner as he was forced to evolve too quickly.
  • When Adryan dies, his pokemon are all gathered around him, and refuse to move until Chris makes an appearance. They all then attend his funeral.
