  • Awesome Music: Pre-2001 Kindergarten has them by the busload. Most of the songs on the jukebox qualify. Also, The S'more Song.
    • Vermina's song "This is the Life for Me" is considered a standout, with the stirring lyrics about her love of the ocean and sailing to the point that given any alternatives like fame, riches, or an easy life, she'd choose the ocean each time. Combined with the actress' excellent singing voice, and people often compare it to something you'd hear from a feature film instead of an Edutainment game for very young children.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Vermina, the lovable Pirat Token Good Teammate who gets a great song. The fact that she's arguably the most sensible of the Pirats due to pointing out the serious flaws in her captain's plans (only to be ignored) and her Hidden Depths about why she'd be a part of the crew in the first place make her a favorite.
  • Funny Moments:
    • The ABC Diner from Preschool has some moments. These range from what happens sometimes when you click on a vowel cabinet, such as a frozen mouse ("Uh-oooooh!"), a rotten can of spinach ("Aaaack!"), to when you click on "PU" (a rotten banana peel or a smelly boot), to even getting the customers' orders wrong (which is always "MUSH!"). And sometimes, when Reader delivers the mush, he'll trip and fall. He'll return to the counter, the bowl on his head with food dripping down him, and he has to be cleaned off.
    • The intro to Capers on Cloud 9!, where Reader tries to assure Sam that he's only imagining rain gear raining, because "Umbrellas don't fall from the sky", only to be Instantly Proven Wrong when an umbrella falls on top of him (along with a raincoat and cap). The look on his face when this happens is priceless.
  • Memetic Mutation: From the pre-2001 Preschool, we have "Quince! That's a fruit."
  • Moe: Vermina, due to her stirring song about how much she loves the seafaring life and her good-natured refusal to think the worst of her boss's enemies.
    • Also, Baby Bear, Mat the Mouse, and Reader, himself.
