- Crosses the Line Twice: Shumadan's "DJ Shumadan" fantasy with Qumi-Cat in "The Snowman". It's in such bad taste that it loops around to being funny.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The Angry Birds Shout-Out is one now that the series is on the Angry Birds Toons channel.
- Unfortunate Character Design: Male Juma-Qumi have a small dark square shape...placed right between their legs.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: First-time viewers might mistake Shumadan for a girl at first thanks to his eyelashes. Bai-Baba (the Juma-Qumi shaman) and Oilo have the same problem, thanks to being female, yet lacking eyelashes.
