• So Bad, It's Good: Opinions differ over whether this was tongue-in-cheek hack work or the most misogynistic sci-fi movie ever made.
• Stock Footage Failure:
  • Stock Footage of an Atlas rocket launching doesn't look anything like the Retro Rocket model from Flight to Mars (1951) we later see flying through space.
  • Another scene of the rocket crashing on an icy planet was also taken from Flight to Mars. We then have a view through the porthole of a vast icy wasteland, but unconvincing dialogue of them investigating 'below the snowline' is added to explain how they're walking through the jungles of Venus in the very next scene.
