  • There is a new mysterious, unnamed girl in the trailer, which prompted fans to start making guesses about who she could be: a Madoka/Mami or Madoka/Homura fusion of some kind, Hitomi, a grownup Nagisa, the human form of Walpurgisnacht, a split personality of Homura running around on her own, etc.
  • Sayaka being bandaged, despite supposedly having a Healing Factor that should immediately heal any wounds, caused a great deal of theories. The general line of thoughts seem to be either that the bandages are there to silence her at Homura's orders because She Knows Too Much, or that something has stopped her healing from working.
• Narm: There is a shot in the trailer◊ where the words "Legendär Bestie" flash onscreen. While this is German for "Legendary beast", the slang term of "bestie" meaning friend meant many English speakers read it as "Legendary bestie" or "Legend of bestie".
