• Cult Classic: The movie is very obscure but some of the people who have seen it hold it up very highly among the list of teen comedies of the 90s and 2000s.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Hot Librarian Jen L. might be the best-liked A&C student due to how she tries to help the Selby competitors, has priorities and goals outside of the school feud, and has to join the cheer squad as a Cool and Unusual Punishment and visibly hates it.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: Percy and Diana's romance is well-acted and well-developed, but since it is the focus of around a third of the scenes, many fans dislike how lots of interesting Prom Wars competitions are just given quick Montage clips as a result.
