- Porting Disaster: The DS version of Prehistorik Man suffer from technical limitations, including slowdowns and hit detection issues not present in the SNES version, and tacked on stylus gimmicks.
- Sequelitis: The 2013 remake was poorly received due to its stiff controls, limited animation, and graphics reminiscent of a web browser game. It was also criticized for its Shallow Parody of then popular games like Limbo (2010), and the final boss is turned into a Camp Gay stereotype for some reason. All these complaints resulted in the game being delisted.
