• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Much of the second half of the short. The Monoclonius wanders into the Tyrannosaurus' territory, immediately alerting the carnivore to its presence. As the rex stalks its prey, the Monoclonius lumbers upon the remains of the last victim. Before it can escape, the Tyrannosaurus attacks. There is a bloody struggle, but the rex is ultimately victorious.
  • The opening, where the titles roll over the shrieks of the last victim of the King of the Dinosaurs. Then we half-see it chowing down, and looking up to snarl, snout glistening with blood in the moonlight.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The entire thing certainly is well-animated. This was the height of stop-motion (so-called "go-motion," which creates more realistic movement by adding subtle motion blurs) and the creatures all have convincing skin and even real-looking teeth.
