• Heartwarming Moments: Lots of these between Bridgette and Geoff, especially after the couple are reunited during the first Aftermath and again in the last one. The enduring nature of their love for each other truly shines in the author's writing.
• Iron Woobie:
  • Bridgette has some truly horrifying and frankly saddening experiences during her time as a competitor on World Tour and goes through a lot of hardship when she returns to the Aftermath studio, from Geoff's fury towards her for kissing Alejandro to being injured during the Telethon to Blaineley shipping her off to Siberia. Despite all that, she remains surprisingly resilient and ultimately comes out understanding just how unbreakable the bond between her and Geoff truly is.
  • Geoff's time in the Aftermath isn't any easier than Bridgette's, as he is just as hurt as Bridgette is by what happened to her on the competition and continues to face challenge after challenge even after the couple manages to forgive and move on. Despite all that, his relationship with Bridgette remains indestructible, and he comes out of it all even more in love with her than ever.
• Moral Event Horizon: Alejandro crosses it at the very beginning of the story when he rapes Bridgette, causing her to develop Stockholm Syndrome.
• Nightmare Fuel: The description of Alejandro's rape of Bridgette is every bit as horrific as it is for poor Bridgette, as is her slowly succumbing to Stockholm Syndrome afterwards. If you weren't horrified for Bridgette while reading it, than something's not right.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Noah's inability to rescue Bridgette from Alejandro, whether it was feeling powerless to stop her from getting raped or failing to convince her to ignore her growing Stockholm Syndrome. Imagine being in his situation, and it's pretty easy to understand the tragedy behind it.
  • A lot of what happens to Bridgette counts. After she gets raped, Noah quietly observes her sobbing and kissing a picture of Geoff while saying she's sorry. And then she finds herself getting confused as she succumbs to Stockholm Syndrome all while telling herself she's supposed to love Geoff and not Alejandro. After getting eliminated, Geoff refuses to accept her apologies, believe that she still loves him, believe in her victimhood, or believe that she doesn't want to have her developing feelings for Alejandro, and leaves her in tears when he breaks up with her (and at one point afterwards, Bridgette even contemplates suicide). Put yourself in the poor girl's shoes, and tell me you wouldn't want to hug and comfort her.
  • Geoff has a pretty hard time too. Despite his anger at Bridgette for falling for Alejandro, he is every bit as heartbroken inside as she is when they break up. And after he and Bridgette are happily reunited, things don't get any easier as Blaineley forcefully separates them, leaving Geoff alone, frustrated, deeply unhappy, and afraid for his girlfriend. You gotta feel sad for the guy.
• The Woobie: If you thought everything we saw happen to Bridgette on World Tour was bad, this fic shows what happened off-camera was even worse. However, as the story goes on, she develops into an Iron Woobie.
