• Angst Aversion: Much like with The Sacred and the Profane, this fic is so famous in the fandom for being a Tear Jerker that some fans have avoided reading it based on its reputation alone — though, unlike The Sacred and the Profane, it does have a happy ending.
• Tear Jerker: Too many to list, but special mention goes to the third chapter of Like a Sunless Garden that's such a brutal smackdown of So Happy Together and Yank the Dog's Chain for Aziraphale that the author admitted in her notes that she started to hate herself at that point for everything she was putting the characters through.
