- Heartwarming Moments: When Jamie's father talks on the phone to him when Laura is giving birth. He tells him that all he needs to do is reassure her, because that's what his job is. He then adds how keeping your own worries to yourself is what you do for the people you love when they need you the most. Especially poignant as Jamie's father had just told his wife that he had been made redundant, but hadn't wanted to tell her because it would worry her.
- Moment of Awesome: Mike of all people gets one when a group of chavs start throwing homosexual slurs at him and Aaron, the guy he was with. He calls them out, and states that real men don't judge others on who they choose to be with. He even gets a round of applause when the chavs slink away.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Beth. We're supposed to feel sorry for her due to her unrequited crush on Jamie, but she's such a jerkass towards her own friends that you can see why he's not interested.
