• Angst? What Angst?: Some think Leona shows this because when it is revealed that she has only about a year left to live due to the parasite growing in her back, she seems only more determined to save Colin.
• Awesome Art: Very detailed, gothic-ish backgrounds and expressive character designs.
• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Toska is already one, despite limited appearances. For reference, Miko and Colin received 142 votes in a poll. Toska got 134. Leona, a main character, got only 49 which is one less than Sela, the person who feeds Colin to a shark.
  • Tapio and Untamo are already well loved by the fandom despite only appearing recently.
  • Pikokai, the owner of the infamous amusement park in the sky, is definitely this even before he appeared in the comic.
• Ho Yay:
  • A bit between Colin and Miko, and it's been revealed that Miko is bisexual and has a crush on Colin.
  • Toska also gets some with both Colin and Miko, due to the way he talks and acts around them, and also because he has No Sense of Personal Space
• Jerkass: Leona's constant teasing of Colin can come across as this to some people.
• Shipping: All but encouraged. The comic WAS in smackjeeves.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Leona tends to exhibit an It's All About Me attitude, and her self-deprecating reaction to Miko angrily confronting her about turning him into a werewolf was anything but sympathetic; she didn't seem sorry at all, and she got over it within a single page. Miko even lampshades it:
  Miko: An awful quick change of mood, Leona....
• Unpopular Popular Character: Most people don't exactly like Colin, due to his financial standing, but he's incredibly popular with fans of the comic.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Most of the fans had no idea what the gender of Untamo was. Some said female, others said male. Turns out, they were both wrong, as Word of God stated that they were non-binary.
