  • Cult Classic: A small one, but it definitely became one after people discovered it online in The New '10s.
  • Funny Moments: Somehow both this and pure Nightmare Fuel, with how ridiculous a premise it is to the low-budget production.
    • The entire talk between Janice and Sharon about "Aunt Kate" is Black Comedy gold, discussing how Kate apparently put her poodle into a microwave oven to "dry it", only for it to explode, killing them both. Janice and Sharon both find this story to be hilarious.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
  • Signature Song: "Animal Cannibal" with "Out Of Her Head" as a runner up.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: Obviously made in 1983, so it is very well an "unintentional" jab at the 80s. Otherwise, it follows standard indie tropes of that time period which were present in Film and Music.
  • Values Resonance: If Sharon and Janice were meant to be lovers, the film may be giving an aesop about same-sex relationships sometimes being healthier than straight relationships. Keep in mind that this was 1983, when politicians dehumanizing queer people by using them as scapegoats for the AIDS crisis was on the rise.
