  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: When Suzanne goes to the theater to confront the man making threatening calls, the letters on the marquee begin flying off until they are all gone. Then the word "Possessor" appears on the empty marquee as if by magic. While the letters flying off are possible (though unlikely in real life) given the killer's skills, the magic appearance of "Possessor" is never explained and it is completely No Sold by Suzanne. The next night, the letters are all back exactly as they were which is again possible (though unlikely no one would notice someone putting them back on by themself in the middle of the night). Whether this is magic or trickery is never explained, nor is it ever brought up again. It's especially baffling since the film has no supernatural elements anywhere else.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Four years later, there would be an actual Japanese short film about a killer stench, although it's an animated Black Comedy and part of an anthology.
