- Harsher in Hindsight: Luke naming his Living Shadow seems less funny after he mentions that he's worried about being left alone with only it and Shade for company.
- Nightmare Fuel: Ashton. Who has threatened everyone's families.
- He and Wallace are also working together now, and have actually managed to kidnap Granny Bliss and Archie.
- Tear Jerker: Grace's death, especially since Archimedes keeps telling everyone to stop, despite there being no other way they can find.
- Peter's Heroic Sacrifice, and everyone's reactions to it.
- Luke's reaction to discovering that he's the only human member of the party from the Pokemon world, and will likely go back and be separated from everyone else if they succeed in closing the rifts.
