• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Censorship in the dub creates an accidental instance of this trope when Nastina crashes through Brutella's restaurant at the end of the episode. Unless you saw the one-time airing of Beauty and the Beach, American viewers will have no idea why Nastina randomly crashlands near an identical-looking woman and it isn't further commented on in the episode's remaining runtime either.
• Evil Is Cool: The giant, destructive Tentacruel is a lot of fun to watch due to being an unstoppable Kaiju in Pokémon form. It speaking through Meowth also gives it some Creepy Awesome points as well.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Yet another episode that becomes amusing in light of Pokémon Sword and Shield introducing Dynamaxing, especially since at one plot point, gigantic Dynamaxed Pokemon start rampaging around Galar which can bring the giant Tentacruel's attack on Porta Vista to mind.
