• Bizarro Episode: The entire cast is briefly sent to space by an evil Togepi and attacked by Rayquaza. Yeah.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • A common in-joke in the Pokémon fandom during the original series was that Misty's Togepi was evil and manipulative. Here, we actually witness an evil Togepi.
  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus has the Omnicidal Maniac Big Bad have a Togepi, which eventually evolves into a Togekiss. Fans quickly drew comparisons between Volo's Togepi and the evil Togepi from this episode.
• Magnificent Bastard: The evil Togepi seeks to amuse herself at the expense of others. Wandering into Team Rocket's newest base, Togepi steals their food and causes torment for both the trio and Ash and his friends while simultaneously creating the role of a "good Togepi" to trick everyone. After being found out, Togepi uses Attract to control their Pokémon and hijack Team Rocket's space ship, with the intention of going "to the end of the universe". Only stopped by the combined efforts of Happiny and Rayquaza, Togepi uses Psychic to save everyone before leaving to rest and cause strife elsewhere.
