• Broken Base: People tend to like ECLISE for its gameplay or how it changed PvZ2. Some others may hate it for its difficulty or because it was made by goodpea2.
  • This became increasingly more divisive ever since Alpha release, some people like the new approach, while some dislike on how goodpea ruined a perfectly done level designing.
• Fridge Horror: Zomboss mentioned that the heroes will not win "the war", it would be something bad that happens between plants and zombies.
• Magnificent Bastard: Dr. Edgar George Zomboss is a cunning mastermind who commands his army through his invasions, plotting unique forms of attacks to defeat the homeowner. His tactics include hidden undead surprises in his barrels and beneath the tides, building challenging undead threats to tackle players with new strategies that bring freshness to his gameplay day in and out. He is determined to achieve his victory, regaining his composure despite his defeat, and proven to be an artist of planning his goals.

  • ECLISE itself gained many fan nicknames, with some may turn into memes such as "Eclipse" and "El Chips".
  • ECLISE level design itself known to be spammy to players, plus some of the most spammy moments became caption memes such as The Midnight Circus.
  • goodpea2 x DT ^Explanation Some minor recurring gag of the fandom when they pair the main devs of the mod, even a screenshot of him sarcastically flirting DT.
  • Groovin' Schmoovin' ^Explanation An infamous caption over the Barrelhead Zombies in Alpha where they remain still and slide to your defenses while their barrels keep moving.
• Misaimed Fandom: The mod's popularity caused misinterpretations of how goodpea2 is making a better PvZ2, with some people are offended that EA ruined the original sequel with microtransactions, though this has been lessened.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: Because of the mod's popularity, it created a lot of division amongst the community whether you like the mod or not. Goodpea2 is no exception due to his engagement into actions including racism, banning people for criticizing his project, and more. As a result, goodpea2 stepped down from the mod and ended its development after being called out for it.
• Vindicated by History: It has been revealed that the division of this mod has been lessened and some people gave it a second chance after goodpea2's dismissal of the mod. Some old fans wanted to recreate the scenario of the mod with their fan continuations.
