• Diagnosed by the Audience: Max Cohen is never diagnosed, but he suffers from intensive social withdrawal, obsessive compulsiveness, chronic migraines, psychotic episodes, and possesses savant-like abilities in regard to mathematics (performing division on par with a pocket calculator).
• Nightmare Fuel: Max drills a hole into his head and therefore his brain in order to stop his constant hallucinations in an extremely graphic scene.
