YMMV / Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel

Go To

  • Awesome Art: Not surprising for a special P&F episode, but here the animation and action scenes are really fluid and smooth, especially comparing to current then and next Marvel cartoons.
  • Broken Base: Phineas's anger at Candace through much of the episode is the main point of contention, with some considering it justified given the circumstance while others feel it was too abrupt and too out of character.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Horse in a Bookcase's existence, as during the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode "Pinkie Apple Pie", Pinkie hides in Twilight Sparkle's bookcase and quotes Isabella's famous "Whatcha doin'" line.
  • Memetic Mutation: The cancellation of Horse in a Bookcase.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Red Skull and the other villains prove they aren't Harmless Villains when fighting but they really cement how evil they are when they threaten to use the modified Power-Drain-inator to destroy the Tri-State Area.
  • Narm Charm: "I'M FEELING SU-PER, SU-PER!"
  • One-Scene Wonder: He barely speaks, but it's a pleasure to hear Danny Trejo as Venom.
  • So Okay, It's Average: The general fan reaction to this episode is that, while it's not bad, it's the weakest of the show's specials.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Many people feel that Isabella's issues that made her feel useless should've been elaborated on more outside of her song with Candace.
  • Unconventional Learning Experience: Though Candace pointing out that energy can never be destroyed is based on her reading of comic books, the rule also applies to real world physics, which children watching this show may not necessarily be familiar with.
  • The Woobie: As always, Candace, who can't help but screw things up every time she tries to help (until the end of the episode), to the point where the normally cheerful Phineas yells at her several times and revokes her S.H.E.D. membership. She even sings a sad song about her predicament alongside Isabella.
