YMMV / Parking (1985)

Go To

  • Funny Moments:
    • Hades complains about modern technology making his job more difficult when he ascribes Orpheus's premature death to a computer error, lamenting that even his social security number is wrong.
    • Orpheus attempts to enter the Underworld the same way Charon's car did and crashes into a solid wall, wrecking his motorcycle and knocking himself out cold.
  • So Bad, It's Good: The movie is considered a prime example of a nanar in French cinema, which means an unintentionally humorous film. While the script is sincerely cheesy and the visuals are stunning, what really pushes it into this realm for many is Francis Huster's bad acting and worse singing, especially in the scene where Orpheus is electrocuted while singing "Pourquoi moi?" ("Why me?")
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The Underworld has a very stylized, glassy look with washed-out white, blue, and grey palettes and red as the only dominant color.
