• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: While every partner received notable buffs as part of the mod's rebalancing, Lakilester is probably the one whose changes were the moat significant. Dark Star gives him bonus damage against flying enemies, an AOE defense piercing move that hits all enemies on the field, and an extremely strong defensive abilitty in Cloud 9 that significantly reduces enemy damage against Mario. This turns him into a very useful party member in the lategame, in contrast to the original where he was pretty much useless.
