- Accidental Innuendo: In the first game, Sam will grab a plank of wood at the cost of a rope he borrowed from a tree. If you have Sam offer the wood to the tree in exchange, she'll be disgusted and tell Sam to take it away. Said tree might also be thinking of the wood as a dead corpse, possibly of her kin ... !
- Angst? What Angst?: In No Need to Hide, there's a chicken in the pot in Darkness' kitchen. She's surprisingly calm and accepting about the fact that she'll soon be cooked and eaten.Chicken: ♪Soup happens when you are tasty food.♪
- Fridge Horror: Pajama Sam throws a plank of wood into the water to get Otto into the water, but when Otto and Pajama Sam look away the plank sinks. So that might mean that eventually Otto is going to sink.
- Good Bad Bugs: If you use Debug Mode to warp to the door from the mine to Darkness' house, and you've neither unlocked the door nor oiled King's wheels, Sam will speak in King's adult voice when you click on the door.
- The Woobie: Darkness. The poor guy, despite living in a big house full of Animate Inanimate Objects, has no friends to play with because everyone's asleep when he's around. Thankfully, Sam befriends him and plays Cheese and Crackers with him.
