• Hilarious in Hindsight: Marsali is very adamant about not wanting to have a baby for at least a few years. She worries that a baby might impede on her ability to have enjoyable sex with Fergus. Over the next several season, Marsali and Fergus are so fertile and in love that it becomes a running joke among the group that the couple is always either expecting another baby or in the process of making another baby.
• Not Blood Siblings: Since they weren't raised together and have never lived together as such, nobody really gives any thought to Fergus and Marsali being legally siblings through Jamie (using Jamie's surname on the marriage certificate is enough to make Fergus Jamie's legal son by 18th century laws and Marsali is his stepdaughter by marriage).
