YMMV / Operation: Galactic Storm

Go To

  • Funny Moments: Wonder Man mocking the Kree agents' strange names.
"Captain Atlas?" "Doctor Minerva?" What do you Kree do, pick your names out of a hat?
  • Harsher in Hindsight: It's a bit hard to see Iron Man and Captain America having such an ultimate and non-negotiable dispute about their ideals, and not think in Civil War (2006).
  • Unexpected Character: Captain America is alone on a alien world, and he's suddenly attacked by... King Cobra? Batroc? Flag Smasher? Viper? Red Skull? Crossbones? Clearly, they are not illusions. They bleed human blood, so they are not robots. What then? Shape-shifters? Unlikely: they fight and behave exactly like the people they are supposed to be. Crossbones even remembers the last time they had fought! the Supreme Intelligence created them, extracting all those details from Cap's mind. They are tangible illusions, of the people that Cap perceives as his greatest enemies.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?: The name of this comic book may suggest a reference to the Gulf War (codenamed "Operation Desert Storm"), but no. Besides the name, there's nothing in the story that sets a similarity with specific real-life events.
