• Harsher in Hindsight: The plot of this episode revolves around Del convincing Rodney that a woman has accused him of sexual assault (she actually uses the word "rape"). For a laugh. This doesn't sit well in today's climate and the serious consequences that such an accusation can have for a man. There's also the fact that the woman is clearly vulnerable and would have an elevated risk of being raped for real, but (due to her long history of making false accusations) would stand almost no chance of being taken seriously.
• Values Dissonance: In addition to the above, a joke is made out of a wheelchair-bound man being a suspect in a rape case. The audience agrees how ridiculous the idea is.
