• Ensemble Dark Horse: Fans fell in love with Lily after this episode aired, and were clamoring for her to become part of the show. When she did, Nicole Muñoz's portrayal was more popular than Agnes Bruckner's.
• Epileptic Trees: A popular fan theory was that Lily was actually Princess Jasmine. It was debunked as soon as the storyline about Maleficent's daughter started, and Jasmine didn't appear until Season 6.
• Les Yay: An absurd amount between Emma and Lily. Their flashbacks very much play out like a teenage love story. If Lily had been a boy, it would automatically be interpreted as a love story. Lily's subsequent appearances would play up the subtext even more.
