YMMV / Ömer the Tourist in Star Trek

• Special Effect Failure:
  • It says everything about the film's standard of costuming that the androids — which are just oiled-up men with circuit boards glued to their backs — are probably the least bad of the non-human characters on display.
  • Spak's ears look ridiculously oversized compared to the official Spock's ears, and the tone doesn't match the actor's skin very well. The ears that manifest on Ömer at the very end are even worse, and are clearly just ears that the crew bought at a joke shop, with Sadri Alışık's own ears very visible underneath.
• Stock Footage Failure: The stock footage shots are so horrendous in quality — in some prints of the film they're overexposed and tinted orange, and in others they're extremely dark and blurry — that it's impossible to tell what you're meant to be looking at.
