     Ongoing Series
  • Awesome Art: Something that nobody seems to deny is that the series looks amazing, with stellar work by Andrea Sorrentino that suits the series incredibly well.
  • Complete Monster: The Maestro, a corrupt version of The Incredible Hulk from an alternate future, stands out as a particularly vile villain. Maestro arrives on Earth and takes over Hulk's brood of inbred children after Logan killed this world's version of Hulk. Maestro has the Hulk Gang take over a military base in the Yukon territories, killing all the guards there. Maestro also has one of the Hulk Gang, Billy Bob, killed for his incompetence. Maestro uses the base's resources to create several nuclear bombs. Maestro plans to use the Hulk Gang as suicide bombers and have them blow up several major cities, destroying most of humanity. Maestro promises the Hulk Gang they will survive the blasts, but that is a lie, they will die along with most of humanity so that Maestro can rule over a post-nuclear-holocaust world. After Maestro's genocidal scheme is foiled and he is confronted by Logan and Hawkeye, Maestro attempts to set off a nuke, to take out everyone in the area, out of spite. After that defeat, the Maestro reappears later, having conquered a small Northern Canadian town, where Maestro kills anyone who opposes him and turns the women of the town into his sex slaves.
  • Fandom Rivalry: Between readers of Old Man Logan and All-New Wolverine. A great deal of criticism of the latter series comes from fans of Old Man Logan, particularly disparaging remarks about Logan being closer to the "Real Wolverine," while calling X-23 a rip-off or a pretender. The fact that All-New Wolverine has Laura swearing off of killing altogether, even further fuels arguments against the book. Others are point Old Man Logan's high sales as an indication that readers want "Real Logan" back and that X-23 can't sell a book. After ResurrXion announcements revealed that Old Man Logan would be appearing prominently in two team books (X-Men Gold and Weapon X) along with his continuing solo series, while Laura would only be appearing in All-New Wolverine. An increasing point of contention among X-23 fans was the anticipation that taking on the Wolverine name would raise her profile in the comics and lead to increased exposure, while in practice Old Man Logan has instead received the attention, particularly in events. This has led to some backlash against the ResurrXion lineup, and even Logan appearing prominently in a teaser for the 2017 Secret Empire event. The announcement of a third ResurrXion team book prominently featuring Logan has not helped matters.
  • I Knew It!: Several fans correctly guessed that the Scarlet Samurai is in fact Mariko.
  • It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: The Old Man's increasing prominence in the post-IvX X-Men books —- specifically the fact that in addition to his solo series, Logan will be appearing in three team books, along with a rumored Avengers roster spot after Secret Empire — has led to this sort of backlash from a part of the fanbase. It's not uncommon to see fans ask why Logan himself was killed off at all if the Old Man would be doing the exact same things, only wrinklier.
  • Moment of Awesome: Logan with a now weakening Healing Factor still being able to kick Kraven’s ass.
    • Logan taking out Maestro by cutting his head off in #50.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Some think Logan crossed it when he killed Black Butcher for something he didn't even do yet.
  • Replacement Scrappy: Some fans see him as one for the original Logan, feeling since he acts so similar to the original than 616!Logan may well not have died to begin with.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • Logan's interactions with the superhero community aren't very explored despite him coming from a Crapsack World where most of the heroes have died, there are a few heroes who would've been close to Logan before their deaths that he never even appears on screen with and conversely its also a waste due to not seeing many characters reacting to Logan considering the fact when he arrived 616!Logan recently died and left many characters affected.
    • Perhaps most egregious, Old Man Logan and Cyclops never meet. Logan named his son after this guy and would surely have some things to say about the direction his life took. Nope.
      • Similarly, Old Man Logan never interacts with Present day Banner who around this time had come back to life with the Devil Hulk at the wheel.
  • The Woobie: It's not hard to feel sorry for Logan when he's lost so much and is so lost in this new world. He himself isn't even sure if it's the past he remembers, and is just grasping at straws, looking for some kind of direction. He tries to kill the new Hulk, who only acts in self-defense and even wants to help Logan, but Logan just runs. He goes as far as to visit Hawkeye, since the two are friends in his timeline. But in the current universe? They've never even been close, so he's in for a rude awakening.

     Dead Man Logan
  • Arc Fatigue: It's a 12 issue series where Logan returning to his own time only occurs halfway through.
  • Complete Monster: Sinister is revealed to be the mastermind behind the plan that created the dark future of the timeline, in which civil society was destroyed and replaced with supervillain-controlled fiefdoms, killing millions in the process. Sinister came up with the plan to unite the supervillains, kill all the superheroes and take over the world, and presented this plan to Red Skull. When Old Man Logan traveled to the past, trying to stop this dark future from taking place, Sinister, in the form of Miss Sinister, learns of the future. Wanting to ensure the Old Man Logan future comes to pass, Miss Sinister recruits Mysterio, hoping to use him to trick the superhero community into killing each other and takes her plans to Red Skull's daughter Sin, working with her to ensure this plan succeeds and helps Sin kill everyone who could stand in their way. After Logan defeats Miss Sinister in the past, Logan goes back to the future, where Sinister has once again taken the form of Mr. Sinister. Mr. Sinister has created a hit squad of Sabretooth clones to do his bidding. Mr. Sinister sends these clones to kill anyone who prevents him from capturing Logan and Bruce Banner Jr.—Hulk's preteen son—massacring a gang of cannibals and Forge's encampment of refugees. Mr. Sinister wants to experiment on Logan and Bruce, so he can create an army of Super Soldiers to conquer the world.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Old Man Logan and the original Logan meeting should've been a big deal .There's a lot to explore there and a lot that can be said. All it amounts to is Old Man Logan saying that Logan shouldn't let his guard down.
